Monday

Guided hike on some of the most scenic paths in the Dolomites
Introduction hike – difficulty: easy-intermediate. Example:

Fanes Nature Park
We leave for Capanna Alpina with the hotel shuttle at 8:30 a.m. From there, we take path No. 11 towards Col de Locia. This first one-hour stretch is uphill and the toughest part of the entire hike.
When we reach Col de Locia, the path becomes flat. We cross the high plateau of the Malga di Fanes Grande until we reach the Baita del Pastore hut and Lake Limo (2,160 m - the highest point of the hike).
We then descend to the Fanes hut where we stop for lunch (approx. 1:00 p.m.). After lunch we return to Capanna Alpina.

Tuesday

MTB tour, departure at 9:00 a.m. (equipment not provided)
Wine tasting at 5:30 p.m. held by Mrs Emanuela, hotel owner and sommelière

Wednesday

Barbecue at our mountain hut at 12:30 p.m. – the hut on the Passo delle Erbe pass can be reached by car. Aperitif with accompaniment of speck, smoked sausages and local cheese, polenta with Alpine cheese, grilled meat and vegetables, cranberry tart and fresh fruit. Lots of fun for everyone, free entertainment for children from 22/12 to 30/3/2019.

Yoga class from 6:00 p.m. to 7:15 p.m.

Thursday

Guided tour on some of the most scenic paths in the Dolomites
Difficulty: intermediate

Sassongher-Gardenaccia
Starting from the outermost houses in Colfosco, our guide Luca will accompany you uphill through the Edelweiss valley on path No. 4. At the fork, you will continue on path No. 7 to the Sassongher saddle and further on taking a rather narrow, slightly downhill path to the Gardenaccia hut. You will make a lunch break along the way.

Golf

The perfect blend of fun and relaxation, golf makes an ideal choice of activity during a mountain holiday. This sport requires great focus and concentration skills, but let’s be honest… is there anything better than getting distracted by a jaw-dropping view of the Dolomites?

Dining at the 2,000 metres

A connoisseur’s experience: discovering traditional flavours at 2,000 metres of altitude in front of a spectacular view. Join us for a sociable barbecue at our mountain hut on the Passo delle Erbe pass, between the peak of majestic Mt. Sass de Putia and the rolling meadows down in the valley. Expect an aperitif accompanied by traditional tasters, lunch with grilled meat and vegetables, polenta and Alpine cheese, as well as fresh fruit and a delicious cranberry tart for dessert. Horse riding in Alta Badia

Horse riding has become very popular here in Alta Badia, a land with a deeply-rooted rural tradition. So much so that many of the local farmers are also horse breeders, training their horses both for farming and leisure purposes. The indigenous Haflinger is the most popular breed, with the Noriker – also indigenous to the Alps – following suit. Would you like to meet them? Sassongher - Gardenaccia

Starting from the outermost houses in Colfosco, we go uphill through the Edelweiss valley on path No. 4 until we reach the fork. We then continue on path No. 7 to the Sassongher saddle (2,435 m). The climb takes approx. 2.5 hours.
Elevation gain: 790 m.

From there, we continue on path No. n. 5: the path starts rather narrow and slightly downhill; after approx. 1.5 hours, we reach the Gardenaccia hut where we can have a break and eat. After that, it goes downhill on a wide path that leads to Fontanaccia and ultimately back at the Hotel Cristallo. The descent takes approx. 1.5 hours.

Total duration: 5.5 hours
Difficulty: easy-intermediate, but rather tiring (790 m climb!)
Lunch: packed lunch is recommended as we reach the Gardenaccia hut in the afternoon.

Nuvolao Alpine hut

We leave the hotel at 8:30. Our shuttle takes us to the Falzarego pass.

From there, we walk down path No. 441, slightly but constantly uphill.

After approx. 2 hours, we reach the Averau alpine hut; from there, the Nuvolao hut is a 40-minute hike away. We stop for lunch at the hut and then head back on path No. 440 going around the Averau from the right and continuing towards the Scoiattoli alpine hut.

From there, we can admire the Cinque Torri from up close. The route back takes approx. 2 hours.

Total duration: approx. 4.5 hours
Difficulty: easy-intermediate
Elevation gain: 525 m

Crossing the Puez-Odle Nature Park – From Gardena pass to Longiarù

We leave for Passo Gardena with the hotel shuttle at 8:30 a.m.

From Passo Gardena, we follow path No. 2 towards the Cir mountain range and climb up to the Cir and Crespeina passes. The first part of the walk goes uphill for circa 1 hour. We then climb up the plateau of Crespeina until we reach the Ciampai saddle. From there, we cross the Puez plateau towards the Puez Hut, where we arrive and stop for lunch after a 3.5-hour walk. From there, we continue slightly uphill along path No. 6 to the Puez saddle (approx. 30 minutes) and then descend through a gorge to the Antersass hut until we reach the road that leads to Longiarù, where the hotel shuttle awaits us.

Total duration: approx. 6 hours
Difficulty: intermediate

Fanes Nature Park

We leave for Capanna Alpina with the hotel shuttle at 8:30 a.m. From there, we take path No. 11 towards Col de Locia. This first one-hour stretch is uphill and the toughest part of the entire hike.

Those who wish to shorten the route may do so by stopping at the Baita del Pastore hut, thereby taking 2 hours off the original route.

Difficulty: intermediate
